Art Deco calendar for 2027

Art Deco, the 1920s and 1930s style, favoured sunbursts, stepped lines and gold. Art Deco Night Birds uses those motifs for white egrets among lotus flowers beneath a golden moon. It is a single new artwork in that manner, not a period design, shown here in several editions.

Gold without metallic ink

Home printers have no metallic ink, so the gold will print as an ochre yellow with no shine. Satin paper gives a little of the sheen back. For real metal you would need a print shop that offers foil, and the areas to foil would have to be prepared separately, as this file does not include them.

Keeping the night mood

The design ships with pale panels, which are easy to read but lighten the whole page. For a more formal look, open the background in the studio and try the near-black overlay colour, then adjust the title and weekday colours to suit. Print a sample first, since dark panels and fine digits need a careful opacity.
