Choosing your photos

Get down to their eye level

Photos taken from their height look like a portrait. Photos taken from yours mostly show the top of a head.

Choose a plain background for a cut-out

A clear acrylic plate is shaped around the animal. Fur against a plain wall or lawn gives a much cleaner edge than fur against a patterned sofa.

Keep whole ears and tails in the frame

A cropped tail stays cropped on a cut-out. Leave a little space around the animal when you take the picture.

Can I have a different pet photo every month?

Yes. The photo calendar maker takes up to 12 photos as a monthly book, with one month on each page. You can also use a single photo for the full year on one page.

Can I put my pet’s name on it?

Yes. The photo calendar has a title field, so the name can sit with the year.

Can AI draw my pet in a different style?

Yes, using credits. AI output is a new picture based on your description or reference photo, so it may not match every marking. Check it before you print.
