How to print a 2027 calendar that comes out right
Choosing a file format, paper size and printer settings for a downloaded 2027 calendar, and what to check before you print.
A calendar is printed once and then looked at every day for months, so small mistakes — a cropped edge, a blurry grid, a wrong weekday — are worth avoiding before the printer starts. This guide covers the files we actually deliver and the settings that matter.
1. Start from the downloaded file, not the preview
Every product page shows a free preview. It is deliberately low-resolution and watermarked, so it is fine for checking the layout, months and language, but it is not meant for printing. Print the original you download after the entitlement check (free or purchased).
2. Pick the format for the job
Finished calendars in the catalog come as SVG, PNG and PDF:
- PDF — the easiest choice for home or print-shop printing.
- PNG — a raster image, handy for photo printing services and screens.
- SVG — vector artwork for people who want to edit or rescale the file in a design tool.
Calendars you make yourself in the studio are delivered in one format today: PNG for AI full images and SVG for the other two modes. The studio shows which format a result has; we do not show conversion buttons that don't exist yet.
3. Match the paper the calendar was made for
Calendars are laid out for A4 (210 × 297 mm), US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or a poster size, in portrait or landscape. The product page lists the paper and orientation. Printing an A4 layout on Letter paper (or the reverse) works, but the margins change slightly.
4. Printer settings
- Open the PDF and choose Actual size / 100 % if you want the margins exactly as designed.
- If your printer clips the edge, choose Fit to printable area instead. The date grid is kept inside a safe area so it survives a small scale-down.
- A heavier matte paper keeps a wall calendar from curling.
5. One sheet or several months
A single file can hold one month, any run of consecutive months (for example February–April), a quarter, two months, or the whole year. If you want one month per page, choose a single-month calendar or make each month separately in the studio.
6. Check the dates before you print
Calendars made by our program — the procedural mode and the AI background + exact dates mode — take every date, weekday and second-calendar label from the date engine. The same data appears as a text "date proof" on the product page and in the studio, so you can compare it with the image.
AI full images are different: the AI draws the dates itself and can get them wrong. Check every month of an AI full image before printing.
If you print a second calendar under the Gregorian dates, see Calendar systems for how each one is converted. Public holidays and festivals are not printed on our calendars.
