Paper has no light behind it

Real stained glass glows because daylight passes through it, whereas paper can only reflect the light in the room. Expect the print to look darker than your screen. Satin or photo paper keeps more of the sparkle, and a spot with good light does the rest.

Dates against dark lead lines

The dark outlines that hold the panes together would cut straight through small numbers, so solid panels are the right choice here. Keep the opacity high. Lowering it reveals more glass, but check a test print first, since lines behind thin digits are hard to read from a distance.
