Macro photography style calendar for 2027

Dew hangs from a fern frond while out-of-focus light glows behind it in Macro Dew Prism. Macro photography magnifies small things and leaves the background in a soft blur, and this picture imitates that look. It is one generated image, not a photo taken through a lens, in several editions.

7 finished calendars, all using one original artwork: Macro Dew Prism. They are editions of the same picture, with different dates or languages, and each listing says which it is.

Sharp drops, soft surroundings

Most of the interest is in the narrow zone of focus along the frond, near the top of the frame. The dark, blurred lower half gives light numerals a calm background, so the design needs little overlay. Keep the gradient subtle to preserve the coloured highlights.

Small highlights need good printing

Tiny bright points are easily lost on plain paper, where ink spreads and dulls them. Photo or satin paper at the best-quality setting keeps them crisp. The deep green is calm enough for a home office, and a dark background like this one uses more ink than most designs.
