Embroidery style calendar for 2027

Poppies, clover, butterflies and red-capped mushrooms look stitched onto a dark navy cloth in Embroidered Meadow. This is one image that imitates thread rather than a photograph of sewing, and all the calendars here are editions of it.

7 finished calendars, all using one original artwork: Embroidered Meadow. They are editions of the same picture, with different dates or languages, and each listing says which it is.

Dark cloth uses a lot of ink

The dark ground is what makes the thread colours glow, but it also covers most of the sheet. Thin paper may curl under that much ink, so use a heavier matte stock. A matte finish also suits fabric, which does not normally have a shine.

Framing it like a sampler

Embroidered samplers were traditionally framed, and the square shape of this art suits that well. Print it slightly inside a square frame with a plain mount. The pale panels keep the dates legible against the fine stitching, and in the studio you can tint them to match a thread colour.
